South Asian Wedding Photo Booth in Brampton & Mississauga: Sangeet, Mehndi & Reception Setups

South Asian weddings in the GTA are rarely a single evening. Between the mehndi, the haldi, the sangeet and the reception, many families are planning three or four distinct events across a week, each with its own venue, colour palette and energy level. Brampton and Mississauga sit at the heart of this, with some of the largest banquet and convention spaces in the region and guest lists that regularly run into the hundreds.

A photo booth fits naturally into these celebrations, but the setup that works for a mehndi afternoon is not the same one that works for a 500-guest reception. Here is how we approach wedding photo booth rentals across a multi-day South Asian celebration, event by event.

One celebration, several events, plan each night separately

The most useful thing you can do early on is treat each event as its own booking decision. The mehndi might be at home or in a smaller hall, the sangeet in a banquet room, and the reception at a convention centre. Guest counts, floor space and timelines all differ, so it is worth listing each date, venue and rough headcount before you request pricing.

Booking the same company across multiple days keeps things simple: one point of contact, one invoice, and a team that already knows your family, your colours and your venues by the time the reception arrives. Because we are owner-operated, Stefano is personally involved in the planning rather than handing your file to a rotating crew.

Backdrops that match the palette: gold, red and beyond

Colour matters at a South Asian wedding in a way it simply does not at most other events. Our included backdrop lineup covers the classics, gold and red are the two most requested for sangeets and receptions, and they photograph beautifully against lehengas, sherwanis and saris. Champagne and rose gold offer a softer take for a mehndi or an engagement, while white, black, silver, blue, green and purple round out the options.

For daytime mehndi events, the premium greenery wall is a lovely fit with marigold and floral decor. And if your decorator has a very specific vision, the green screen add-on lets us drop in a custom digital backdrop instead. You can browse how these look in real setups in our photo gallery.

The 360 booth belongs at the sangeet

If any single night calls for the 360 video booth, it is the sangeet. The whole event is built around dance, choreographed family performances, dhol, and a floor that stays full until the end. The 360 booth captures slow-motion video of guests on a rotating platform, and it thrives on exactly this kind of energy: dupattas in motion, group spins, cousins doing bits between performances.

Videos are shareable straight from the online gallery, which matters when half the family is following along from overseas. Many families pair the 360 booth on sangeet night with the open-air print booth at the reception, so each event gets the format that suits it.

Reception night at a convention centre: think throughput

Brampton and Mississauga receptions often land at large convention venues, spaces in the class of Pearson Convention Center, Chandni Convention Centre and the Grand Victorian are popular venues in the area, and they routinely host guest lists of several hundred. At that scale, the question is not whether guests will use the booth but whether the booth can keep up.

Our open-air setup is built for volume: a DSLR camera, bright lighting, a dye-sublimation printer that produces dry-to-the-touch 2x6 or 4x6 prints in seconds, and unlimited prints so a party of eight can each walk away with a copy. A professional attendant keeps the line moving and the prop bin organized. We arrive about an hour early, setup takes roughly 30 minutes, and the booth needs about an 8x8 ft footprint, easy to accommodate in a convention hall, and we can work smaller if needed. We are fully insured, which larger venues typically require. If your reception is in the area, see our Brampton photo booth rental page for local details.

Outfit changes deserve their own prints

One underrated detail of multi-day celebrations: everyone looks different every night. The bridal party alone might move through four or five outfits across the week, and guests dress to match each event. A custom print template per event, mehndi colours for the mehndi, deep reds and golds for the reception, turns the booth strips into a keepsake set that actually tells the story of the whole week rather than one night.

Custom templates are included with every booking. Send us your invitation suite or decor palette and we design each event's template to match, with names, dates and any motifs you want carried through. Every photo also lands in an online gallery, so nothing depends on guests holding onto a paper strip.

Booth and photographer from one team

Many families also need event photography for the mehndi or sangeet, where a full wedding photographer package may be more than the event requires. We offer professional event photography and the photo booth in a single booking, one invoice, one team, one setup conversation instead of three. Add-ons like GIF and boomerang capture or an audio guest book slot into the same booking as well.

For coordination-heavy weeks, having fewer vendors to manage is a genuine relief for whoever in the family is holding the master spreadsheet.
